Climbing Kilimanjaro for Vagoni Agapis

"I am climbing mount Kilimanjaro!" - five words I never thought I would utter. Everyone around me thought I had gone a little crazy.

There are few times in life when you can pack your bags, get on a plane and travel for 12+ hours to another continent in order to endure a 7 day climb of the tallest free standing mountain in the world. On the 13th of July I will set off for Tanzania and attempt to summit mount Kili. I will face a 5898 meter climb as well as braving arctic conditions of -15C. Why, you might ask? Well, for a very worthy cause...

The charitable organisation Vagoni Agapis, founded in my home country Cyprus, aims to provide relief to those who live in poverty and face adverse financial conditions. It helps countless families that are deprived of basic food items and clothing by delivering basic necessities and providing financial assistance for medical expenses, household bills and school fees.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go towards helping those in need to exercise their basic human rights and enhance their quality of life.
