Dear Family and Friends,
If you are looking for a way to support my brother Brandon Taylor after his motorcycle accident in San Luis Obispo on August 27th, please consider donating here to his recovery. Donations will go directly to Brandon to cover his medical bills.
Although he was wearing a full helmet and protective gear, Brandon sustained a fractured neck, dislocated shoulder, and nerve damage to his right eye (among other injuries). Before he was put under an induced coma for the first few days, he thankfully showed signs of movement in his arms and legs. Although he is still unable to speak, Brandon has been able to identify our parents and his girlfriend Shannon. About a week after his accident, the swelling in his brain has been gradually going down. And since he injured the right side of his brain, the right side of his body has been stronger than his left side. He had a few bad days recently and is still not able to swallow food or liquids, but just recently he was able to walk a few feet from his hospital bed with his doctor's assistance. As of September 10th, Brandon was transferred via ambulance to an extensive rehabilitation center near our parents. Although it will be a long road ahead, we are hoping for his full recovery.
Also, my mom and I will be posting occasional updates on Brandon's status. So please be sure to add yourself as a follower or simply click on the Updates tab above.
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank each and every donor here for your heartfelt support. Your loving thoughts and prayers are exactly what we need during this difficult time.
We love you, Brandon!!!
