Yemen – Help Us Continue Supplying Clean Water To 585 Families in IDP/ Refugee Camps

Yemen, a land full of misery and tears. The never ending war, takes away plenty. With homes destroyed, hospitals are not spared. The elderly folks, women and children are not spared. Only laughter we see are from innocent children, who doesn’t understand much. Casualties on the rise daily, from the war, from the famine and from the lack of clean water and nutritious food.

What makes matters worse, due to poor sanitation, Cholera epidemic hits them hard, Covid 19 pandemic just made matters worse.In October 2018, the United Nations report estimated 85,000 children under the age of 5 have died from starvation, with over 2.5 million are acutely malnourished.

Yemen refugees have no choice but flee their destroyed homes and hometowns, to seek safety and shelter. Because of the geographical features, they are unable to plant or dig wells in most of Yemen. The next thing they have to do, is to join thousands of other refugees in IDP Camps, where they totally depend on the mercy of others. Non Profit/ Non Government Organisations such as UNCHR, UNICEF ,SAVE THE CHILDREN like Al-I’tisam, responding to the call to help our fellow menkind. These are the only venues, where they are able to get food and water. Out of 3.65 million people displaced since 2015, 80% have lived in such camps for over a year.

What did we do?

Build a Bakery ( Space On Rental ) & Bought 2 water tanks.

As an NGO, looking for Humanitarian Aid for the world, water and food being a crucial need, we fundraised and water tanks in Sanaa and Zabid, since end 2019. These 2 areas house over 30,000 refugees

Funds have been extra slow to come in for some time now, partly we believe due to Covid 19 pandemic, hitting all over the world.

Previously, we were able to supply clean water daily. Past months, due to lack of fund, we have had to reduce to only 3 days in a week now.

Please help us continue & up our support to the 585 families. Let’s not leave them to suffer, more than the war has already done.
