Campaign Story
On September 27-29 we'll be heading to Konstantinovka, a city in the Donetsk oblast of eastern Ukraine, to run a seminar for women. This area is located close to the conflict zone and is vulnerable in many ways. Yet, the people bravely continue to develop their city and themselves.
Our seminar is called "Unlock your own potential: how to start your own business and develop it further". It is aimed at identifying one’s unique skills and using them to help women start their own businesses. The participants will be women with no background in business or financial education. We will have three people running it (Liubov Zharova, Head of the International Management and International Business Department at Ukrainian-American Concordia University; Katya Tymchenko, former Digital Marketing director at EF Education First, and Ilyana Almasoud, co-founder of Fusion Language Group). We are aiming to have 15 women attend and will give one micro-loan plus free consulting to one of the attendees.
In order to make this a reality, we need financial support ourselves! Our NGO, Second Wind, is still relatively new, and thus we don't qualify for many grants yet. The money we raise will go towards transportation, accommodation, and hosting the seminar itself (food and workshop supplies).
We will be SO grateful for any size donation and will make sure to keep you updated (if interested!) on this seminar with photos, videos and articles. You can follow us either on our FB page or website.

Katya, THANK YOU for wanting to help women in eastern Ukraine - you are bringing them hope, and I am glad to be a part of what God will do through you...Just read the story today of Jesus feeding the 5000 - five loaves and two fish - when we give God what we have, it is enough. Cheering you on! Mindy
