Campaign Story
2018 was meant to be the perfect year for my fiancee and I. We were supposed to celebrate our wedding on the 29th of April 2018, have another family reunion with my family in France to celebrate our union on the 7th of July and have our honeymoon in Bali on the 9th of September.
I was celebrating Australia Day on the beach with my bride to be when my dad called me from Spain (where my parents live) to tell me that my mother had just been admitted into hospital and the doctors said it was extremely serious and she only had a day or two to live. My brother and I flew out immediately on that night and my fiancee followed two days later. We had planned out this year down to each dollar and did not take any holidays in 2017 to save up. We worked really hard and just under three months prior to our wedding we have had to withdraw $4,800 from our wedding fund to be with my mother. My mum's wish was to keep the date and certainly not cancel the wedding. We really need your help to go through this as we simply cannot afford it any longer.
