We are the world an open line of communication

We Are The World (WAW) was created to help people connect with each other. Everyone feels lonely or unhappy at times, but often they have no one with whom to share their feelings. WAW is a simple platform for people to go online, and then an algorithm will connect them to someone else in the world who is keen to chat, too. The current test version is very simple but we have generated over a thousand conversations, giving us the sense that it can become a useful tool to create a new community rooted in humanity, empathy and support. We want to fundraise to enhance WAW features on the back end – for push notifications when a user is offline but have installed and someone is looking for chat buddy, for very simple registration without email (privacy), and to craft the algorithm for connection. One of the key features we are looking to add is a chat room hosted by people who are experts in any field where advice is needed. These experts can handle one-on-one chats with users in these specially created rooms. The users can chat between themselves while waiting for their one-on-one sessions. Or the sessions can be group Q&A chats. We believe the expansion of WAW can help many people to get through tough times, connect, make new friends, even make a journey of self-discovery. There are 8 billion people sharing one planet - no one should feel alone or abandoned.
