Fundraising to help the disabled in Wa Wi Village in Northern Border of Thailand (Chiangrai)

I am doing a fundraising event for my birthday on the 29 May which also happens to be วันวิสาขบูชา (Buddha Day).

I am planning to raise fund to help the families of the disables in a village calls Wa Wi in Northern region of Thailand. Most of the villagers in Wa Wi are tribal people, they are the forgotten members of our Thai community, some do not even hold Thai nationality therefore are not entitled to seek help.

Wa Wi villagers being too far from sufficient medical care and living in harsh life standard resulted in higher rate of birth disabilities (early birth and nutrition deficiency). Where they are, getting through the poverty is already hard enough yet they have to take care of their disabled member in their family. My ask of you is.... please donate any amount that you find suitable for a good cause... show that you appreciate the fortune of being able to live as freely and show that you will not leave behind those not fortunate enough to have this luxury.

In addition to this donation, I will also host a golf fundraising event when I will gather a small group of my close friends to participate in small golf competition and they money raise from this event will also go towards this charity.

If you are willing to disclose your name with your donation, I will also make a list of the donor when donating to the Wa Wi community.

I will be closing the donation window at the end of June.

สวัสดีครับทุกๆคน

วันที่ 29 พฤษภาคม ถือว่าเป็นวันดีเพราะเป็นวันเกิดผมและแถมยังเป็นวันวิสาขบูชา ผมอยากจะชวนให้เพื่อนๆพี่ป้าน้าอามาช่วยกันทำบุญบริจาคเงินให้กับครอบครัวคนพิการในหมู่บ้านวาวี จังหวัดเชียงราย ชาวบ้านหมู่บ้านวาวีนี้ส่วนใหญ่เป็นชนเผ่า น่าสงสารมากครับ ด้วยความกันดารของพื้นที่และความยากจนของชาวบ้าน ทำให้สภาพชีวิตของเขาค่อนข้างลำบาก อุปกรณ์การแพทย์ก็ถือว่าน้อยมาก อีกทั้งความที่อยู่ห่างไกลความเจริญและบางคนอาจจะไม่ได้ถือสัญชาติไทย ทำให้การขอช่วยเหลือให้เข้าไปถึงหมู่บ้านวาวีได้น้อยมาก เด็กในหมู่บ้านนี้เกิดมาพิการค่อนข้างจะเยอะ สาเหตุเกิดจาก คลอดก่อนกำหนด ขาดสารอาหาร เครื่องมือทางการแพทย์เข้าไปไม่ถึง

ครอบครัวที่มีสมาชิกเป็นคนพิการ ต้องทำงานหนักหาเงินเลี้ยงชีพและสมาชิกพิการในครอบครัว มีค่าใช้จ่ายเยอะ และไม่สามารถซื้ออุปกรณ์ดูแลคนพิการที่เหมาะสมได้ เป็นเหตุทำให้พวกเขาไม่สามารถดูแลสมาชิกที่พิการในครอบครัวได้ดีพอ

ผมจึงอยากจะชวนทุกๆคนมาร่วมกันทำบุญบริจาคเงินเพื่อที่จะซื้ออุปกรณ์และส่งเสริมค่าเล่าเรียนของเด็กพิการทั้ง 80 ครอบครัวในหมู่บ้านวาวี
