Water for Eco Rock House

The „Rock House“ is an ecological House Project of a family located in Malimbe, a part of Mwanza next to the Lake Viktoria.

7 years ago the founder Ernest started to create a home for his family and the community. The vision is to be a real part of the ecosystem. That means to live in harmony with all the animals (Monkeys, hyraxes, lizards, hedgehogs, squirrels, birds, pigs, fishes, chicken, bee hives and quails) and plants (Indigenous trees, bananas, spinach, avocado and different other types of plants and fruit trees). The animals have a place of freedom on the area of the Rock House. They’re getting food and water possibilities.

The challenging point of the project is the water supply. At the community of 500 persons there is only one water pump. That’s not enough for a needful amount of water.
The solution is a second water pump. In order to finish what was started, we are in need for $5000. The estimated cost for the water pump is $2000, for the water tank $1500 and $1500 for the controller system. If the fundraising exceeds the expected goal, the rest will be used for a new fish pond and the material of bee hives.

La „Rock House“ est un projet de maison écologique d'une famille située à Malimbe, un quartier de la ville de Mwanza localisée à côté du lac Viktoria.

Il y a 7 ans, le fondateur Ernest a commencé à créer une maison pour sa famille, mais aussi pour la communauté. L'idée est d'intégrer l'activité humaine dans l'écosystème. Cela signifie vivre en harmonie avec tous les animaux (singes, hyrax, lézards, hérissons, écureuils, oiseaux, cochons, poissons, poulets, ruches et cailles) et les plantes (arbres indigènes, bananes, épinards, avocatiers et différents autres types de plantes et arbres fruitiers). Les animaux peuvent circuler en toute liberté dans le périmètre de la Rock House. Ils ont la possibilité de se nourrir et de s'abreuver.

La plus grande difficulté du projet est l'approvisionnement en eau. Pour une communauté qui compte 500 personnes, il n'y a qu'une seule pompe à eau. Cela ne suffit pas pour la quantité d'eau nécessaire. La solution est de mettre en place une deuxième pompe à eau. Afin de terminer ce qui a été commencé, nous avons besoin de 5 000 $. Le coût estimé pour la pompe à eau est de 2 000 $, pour le réservoir d'eau 1 500 $ et 1 500 $ pour le système de contrôle. Si la collecte de fonds dépasse l'objectif prévu, le reste sera utilisé pour un nouvel étang à poissons et le matériel des ruches. Donc, si possible, nous vous demandons de bien vouloir nous aider car nous pensons que tout le monde devrait avoir la possibilité d'avoir de l'eau.
