“Wat Rong Or” Student Scholarship Fund

Help a student in need go to school.

Schooling in Thailand is not free. After 6th grade families are required to pay for their child's education.

The Sociology class at Nakornpayap International School has completed a Service Learning Project in partnership with a nearby school named Wat Rong Or. After learning that many of the students at this school are unable to continue their education due to lack of financial resources, the class unanimously voted to launch a program to offer scholarships and financial assistance for talented local students in poverty, beginning with Wat Rong Or, with the aim of ensuring that financial matters do not become barriers for students in realizing their potential.

One talented student from Wat Rong Or will be selected by a panel of Wat Rong Or teachers by nomination as the recipient of this scholarship. The scholarship will cover tuition and school-associated expenses for the student for the duration of their secondary school career, provided that they adhere to the given contract, upholding standards of academic performance and disciplinary conduct.
