I’m a student from Russia who studying in UWC Atlantic College in Wales. It may sound strange, but all I want in my life is my own laboratory where I can work for the advancement of people! All my thoughts are directed to Science. Sometimes people like me are called "crazy scientists", because of the love to experiment. I am going to spend my life trying to find the way of fighting diseases which are called incurable. Studying in university - a great chance to make a step forward to my dream. However studying in UK is highly expensive, and I do not have enough money for it. Moreover I’m gay…and last summer skinheads tried to kill me. I cannot say about it neither to my parents, neither to police, because it may cause bigger problems for me. If I won’t study abroad, I might be dead.
Maybe I am not an ideal person, maybe I am not an ideal student, but I am always trying my best to achieve something. Yes, sometimes I do ignore some areas of my life that might be important, sometimes my conduct is not a human etalon, however it is all for my dream, for science which will help me to provide peaceful and clear future to next generations. I believe that I can change our beautiful and furious world in a better way.
