Campaign Story
Hi Everyone
This July (2015) I will be taking part in a voluntary programme in Bali, Indonesia, founded by Yayasan (a formal non-profit organisation). I will spend four weeks teaching underprivileged children in the disadvantaged area of Amed. Program by the Sea is the initiative set up by organisation 2009 in a small fishing village in the remote region of Karangasem, in the North Eastern area of Bali. The children of the region are from poorer families who generally survive from the local fishing industry and who receive a limited education. The program assists underprivileged children that need support, such as children with physical and/or mental disabilities, orphans and street children.
I will spend my time teaching English, computer skills, cultural activities, financial management, future prospects, as well as arts and crafts to children who greatly need it.
All children deserve a chance of an education.
In order to take part in this worthwhile endeavour, I have a fundraising target of €2,000 and this is where I ask for your help. Any donation, however small would be very much appreciated. I have provided a link below to the organisation if you would like to learn some more about their very valuable work.
Thank You.
Rebecca
