Volunteering time in Africa

Have you ever felt the need to help others?

Hi, my name is Jennifer, I’m 28 and I’m a nurse in Costa Rica.

In my job I have the opportunity to help people every day, nevertheless I want to help those who really need it the most and that’s why I’d like to volunteer in Africa for at least 6 months supporting health services for children in the second semester of 2019. I have volunteered in Costa Rica too for short periods of time, but I’ve chosen Africa this time because it is one of the most forgotten areas (and feared too).

It is difficult for me leaving my job for 6 months and move to another continent with no income during that period since I will have several expenses during my stay there. Starting with the plane tickets that would cost me at least USD$ 2.500. Besides I am planning to support financially the organization I will work with, and will bring with me a big load of medical supplies necessary for the nursing tasks.

I didn’t know how to make this possible but someone talked me about gofundme and here I am giving it a try.
