Volunteering in the Rainforests of Guyana with Operation Wallacea for Biological Conservation

I will be taking part in a volunteering programme in the rainforests of Guyana with the inspirational programme, Operation Wallacea. I study Earth Sciences in Trinity College Dublin and my name is Cormac Ó Gibne. I am strongly committed to doing whatever I can for our beautiful planet. This volunteering expedition that I will take part in, will last for four weeks in the month of June. The expenses for this amazing trip include flights, vaccinations, general preparation beforehand, internal travel as well as the expedition inside the rainforest.

The skills I would gain from an expedition would be tremendous for my future career. But also the main reason that I want to go on this expedition is to do anything I can to help these animals and plants before it is too late.
