My name is Vladimir Bichev and I'm 35 years old photographer from Sofia, Bulgaria.
Let me tell You about my childhood... It was amazing. Although I was born back in 1980 in country with soviet regime I grown up with my oldest brother and since I was a kid we travel around the world with my family. We lived 3 years in Turkey, and then another 3 year in Morocco. I've seen a lot of thing which kids my age never have the opportunity to see.
Now 35 years old I work as photographer. And my work met me with amazing people. I was invited to shoot for National Foster Care Association in Bulgaria. And since then I fell in love with this kids. Until this day I continue to work as a volunteer with them. Not only helping with photography but with everything they need so they can see that this world can be a better place. And not all the people are bad and will try to hurt them. I don't think there is something better than seeing smile on childrens face.
I also shoot for "I can Too" and other projects. Now we are planing to make charity photo session and all the money raised from selling this shirts will go for this initiative http://zaednovchas.bg/ that provides teachers who come into schools in poor, marginalized regions and enable children to have a quality education.
This year I decide to try helping other kids, not only in my country and I have been selected as a future changemaker for the Philippines with Global Volunteer Network. Soon, I'll be volunteering to support a grassroots organization, using my skills and passion to support locally-empowering missions.
I'm choosing to invest my time and effort in this community in the Philippines, because I believe in its potential. I want to be a part of a global movement for positive change, and I believe in myself as a part of the solution to some of the greatest issues facing our world.
The funds on this program account page will be used to cover my costs involved with travelling, training, and living & working in my chosen placement.
I am asking you to make an investment - to invest in helping me to become a changemaker in the Philippines, and to invest in the community itself for long-term sustainable change. The return on your investment? Helping me to become the strongest force for positive social change as possible, and seeing an incredible community in the Philippines reach its full potential.
I can envision a better world, and therefore I have a responsibility to create change to reach that vision.
So, will you invest?
