1.0 Introduction
The VFIM leadership is pursuing the construction of the below church Building. This project has the full support of the church members and stakeholders.
1.1 Project Implementation and Management
The project will be managed and supervised by a project team from the VFIM. The team will be led by Rev. Joshua Wachira assisted by the other pastors and church elders. The project management team will include the following:
- Rev. Joshua Wachira-Lead Pastor
- Simon Mwangi- Development coordinator
- Paul Ndemo – VFIM Chairperson
- Victor Machoka- Treasurer
- Harwin Etyang- Member
The project team will be responsible for the various project activities that will be outlined in the project work plan. The church members will also have a role to play in the implementation of this project. In particular church members will be responsible for continual monitoring of the progress of implementation and accountability for resources deployed.
Materials will be purchased in advance and made available at the construction site.
Valuable materials will be guarded at the site.
The building plan has been designed by an engineer according to the recommendations of VFIM and National Construction Authority.
The project team of church construction will hold meetings as part of its internal assessment and reporting of the project on a bi-weekly basis.
The implications of these reviews would be used for further planning. In the assessment, monitoring and evaluation, the Lead Pastor Rev Joshua Wachira will closely collaborate with project donors and other stakeholders from the starting phase, implementation phase and to the continuing phase of the project.
The Church will allow physical project evaluation and visitations for donors and stakeholders of the Church to come and see physically what is done and evaluate, audit and make an open assessment of the project.
Also the church members will be updated during Sunday services on the progress of the construction of the sanctuary.
1.3 Project Output and Benefits
The Church Building construction will have many benefits into the surrounding community as explained here below: -
1.3.1Spiritual and Social Benefits
“Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, .........Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.” I Chronicles 29:2-9
“And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.” 2 Samuel 24:24
When the project of Construction of the permanent church building is realized, it’s our belief as a Church it will surely please of God and that each participant will experience God in a unique an unprecedented ways. Furthermore the benefits enumerated below will be realized.
There will be a place:
- For Prayer and Worship any time of the day and night and under any weather conditions.
- Where counseling will be done and a refuge to the hurting spiritually, emotionally and physically.
- For discipleship and mentor-ship in pursuit of the Church’s mission
- The Church youth can have meetings throughout the week for there are critical for the growth of the Church.
- To hold concerts and youth talent shows, sports and talent training hence drawing more to Christ and equipping them for the enrichment of God’s Kingdom.
- That can host social events such as wedding venues, thanksgiving etc. for the Church and the community.
- Where a vibrant Gospel media ministry shall be provided.
- There will be a place where families will grow in all aspects of their lives.
- Where Children can undertake entertainment activities such as athletic (games) events for kids- pool, chess, scramble etc. Through such activities the Church will be able to reach and witness unto them hence growth of Christianity.
- For administrative functions of the church such as Pastoral and departmental meetings, strategy meetings and other events that facilitate effective running of the Ministry.
It is expected that, due to church operations not only shall the church members and community obtain spiritual benefits but also the following economic achievements are expected to be attained due to the fact that the church is aimed at ministering to people in all aspects of life. Therefore the project social-economic expectations include:
- Providing education opportunities through the ACE Program
- Creating employment for those who will serve in diverse departments of the ministry.
- Providing facilities for holding seminars and meetings/workshops on variety of issues that concerns human life e.g. marriage.
- Through the multiplier effect of money, it will raise economical ability of the poor in the area thus enabling improved standards of living and reduced vulnerabilities to social evils.
- A place to hold public meetings to equip the community with the current affairs affecting their day to day living.
Overall, the construction of the Multi-purpose Church hall shall facilitate VFIM to achieve spiritual, social change and transformation of the community.
The Approved budget for the implementation of the project is Kshs. 5.038 million. Appx. (USD 50,000) This amount will be raised through a joint effort of the local church leaders, church members and donors of the VFIM.

Below is the breakdown for the project budget:
The Church hereby appeals for support from everyone to whom God will put this burden in their heart to support the construction of the Multi-purpose Hall. We believe that people and organisations/firms shall contribute willingly and generously for the construction of God’s house for our Lord’s Glory and as a means of obeying God’s word in the book of 2 Corinthians 9:6-8,10 .
