Veterinary help for Little Angel and Fiona

I’m a Pigeon Lover.

Me and my pigeons live in Poland, Warsaw. I take care of sick pigeons (mostly feral ones) since I was 20 years old. That makes about 30 years now. I do it occasionally, how much I can and how much my health allows me, cause I have health issues (kidney problem). For years I had my 3 pet Pigeons – Suzy – the feral one with PMV, Bieluch (White one) with a broken wing (Coudn’t fly) and Michelle (White African Collared Dove) which was a little bit disabled without one leg… I loved my pigeons, but they are gone now…

Last year, while going back from Church on Sunday I found my Little Angel in the middle of a road. I stopped my car, run out and saved him. I decided to keep him and make him feel better. He had an eye injury and also some parassites. So I took care about all the issues... but he appeared to be not a heathy bird with constant health problems. I wanted to give him to somebody to take care of him, knowing about my own problems and heath issues and because of that poor finantial situation. But I didn’t find a good offer – good home conditions, while I know, he can’t live outside, because he’s too weak. So I decided to keep him for now. I took for him a company – Fiona – pigeon that was homeless from a vet place, after a treatment – she was found by somebody in a stable after some predator’s attack. Fiona went through surgery. I thought Fiona was healthy, but she wasn’t. She brought us Coccidia nad Tchichomonas…:-(. My Little Angel already had problems with his respiratory system – still snizzing… After his treatment with antibiotics… I took Fiona in February and since than we are going to a lot of vet visits and trying to solve all the issues nad make the Pigeons feel good. I spend already since January more than 3000 PlN polish złotych to go to vets, another check-ups and medication… Cause in January Little Angel got sick (I don’t know why, he was home and it was warm. He got in January a crop inflammation and inflammation of the Air sacks. After I thought that condition was treated I took in Fiona and she brought her problems and Angel’s problems came back…

So I spend a lot of money and I’m totally broke… We need another visit’s. After treatment we still have Coccidia problem and some respiratory issues. Litte Angel has his Pancreas and his Liver working not properly…:-(. Also after medication he has some Kidney issue – he looses a lot of water…:-( He has some digestion issues – a lot of Food is just running through him, he eats a lot and never seems to be full :-( So for now he seems to be chronically ill demanding vet’s control’s regularly…

Little Angel and Fiona are together and they love each other very much!

This is all very tough experience for me. I worry constatly about them… I love my pigeons and I want them to be well. And I do eveything I can, I don’ t want to give up…

So I would like to ask you to support me in this fight. I would like to raise amount of money I spend on Vet’s visits from February till now. If that is possible, I’ll have money for another visit’s which are necesarry and all the other costs to take care of them, like additional supplements and vitamins. I’m still looking for possibilities to improve their health…
