Veterinary Funding For Basket & Tumbler

Hello!

I am seeking financial support for the treatment and care of two abandoned kittens, Basket and Tumbler. Gigi is the rescuer and I offered the small space in my home for temporary foster while we look for adopters.

Unfortunately while taking them for the necessary vet checks on Sunday, it was found that one of the kittens, Basket, tested positive for parvovirus and is exhibiting symptoms (vomiting and diarrhea). We took them for a retest at another clinic today as the line on the first test kit on Sunday was very faint. We found that both kittens tested positive for Giardia and Coronavirus. Basket also tested positive for Parvovirus. Since they have been sharing food, water, and litter box, it is likely that Tumbler may also have Parvovirus.

They are now warded at One Ampang Vet Clinic, each isolated from one another as only one has parvo. Both needs medical care and attention that I am unable to provide as I will be traveling for Raya and I have a cat at home that I do not want to risk infecting with the same diseases. Parvo is highly contagious and requires frequent sanitizing with 1:9 diluted clorox after every interaction with the kittens.

Boarding is RM60 a night, but the vet may also provide drips on alternate nights in case of hypoglycemia attacks, which will be an additional RM30. The vet recommended 5 days of boarding, leading up to a total of 2 x RM60 + 3 x RM90 = rm390 per cat. Medication during boarding is rm40-50 a day per cat, assuming rm50, that is rm250 per cat. Test kits are RM85 per cat.

In summary, for both cats:

Boarding: RM 780

Medication: RM 500

Test kits: RM 170

Total: RM 1,450.

I have paid a deposit of rm400 (RM200 per cat) for today.

The consultation, test, and medicine on Sunday at Kitty’s Cottage Vet Clinic was RM163, which I have also paid.

In total, for now, the vet bills are RM 163 + RM 1,450 = RM 1,613.

Paid: RM 563.

Balance: 1,050.
