Help raise funds for Vet bill for hell colony stray cats

Update posted by Georgia Kyprianou On Nov 29, 2020

Hi everyone!

Yesterday we visited the main gate cemetery as well as inside the cemetery.

Yes there was a massive colony of strays inside the cemetery as well :(

We bought a lot of food wet and dry as well as warm blankets for our furry friends.

Some cats had trichophagos, and so we sprayed them with a special shampoo which we bought from the vet.

We also treated with tobrex the eyes of some kittens. However, we couldnt treat them all as we couldnt catch them, many were scared.

Our heart breaks :( so many people go to the cemetary every hour to visit the dead, but bery few care for the alive souls, our friends in need.

In fact they dont even fill up their boxes with water :(

"Humanity" at its finest.

Please check the new photos in the gallery. THANK YOU FOR UR SUPPORT ♡♡♡♡♡♡

Difficult days are ahead for all the homeless animals in Cyprus, as if their lives were not already difficult enough!

According to the proposed legislation that will go for voting by the members of the Cyprus parliament next Thursday, the local authorities (communities / municipalities) will be responsible for designating specific areas in their boundaries where people will be ALLOWED to feed stray animals! It will be prohibited BY LAW to leave food or water for homeless animals at any other area besides the ones decided by the local authority!

Homeless animals in Cyprus are faced with starvation, thirst, abuse and neglect! Volunteers who feed them daily and take care of the sick and injured are their only hope for survival! This legislation leaves thousands of stray animals without food and water and punishes the volunteers for caring!

Local authorities are not known for their animal-loving feelings! Strays are a problem for them and they are not willing to meet their responsibility to care for them! Volunteers struggle every day, many times putting their own health and physical integrity in danger, to help abandoned dogs and cats to survive!

WE ASK YOU TO VOTE AGAINST THIS BILL, allowing volunteers to supply food and water for the animals in need! We are their only hope to survive!

HOMELESS ANIMALS EVERYWHERE HAVE A RIGHT TO LIVE!

108 euro vet bill paid

Find receipt in the photo gallery uploaded a few minutes ago.

Unfortunately i have not found the ginger and white kitten with the eye problem.

I have tried for 3 days in a row but nowhere to be found :-( i hope he/she is well and nothing bad happened to it.

There are some kittens with infected eyes at the main gate one of them has a serious infection in both eyes. They are wild and not easily caught. Our volunteers will try to catch them to treat them with tobrex. We hope its manageable and they won't need to be taken to the vet's.

Thanks for reading

Today as i was walking along a famous beach path, I came across a kitten with really bad eye infection. It looks like it might have cat flu. I cleaned the eyes and gave tobrex drops (i had with me in the car) but tomorrow I will take it to the vet. It was following me to my car. Somehow it captured my heart ♡

Photos in the photo gallery ginger kitten :-(

Please share.

Today we took the white snowflake kitten back to the cemetary main gate.

We were so sad we had to take it back there to that horrible place :(

He is adorable and like all kittens and cats, deserves a warm home to call his own.

Unfortunately we found Another badly sick with flu cat, who one of our volunteers took home. The cat will be taken tomorrow to the vet. It is never ending. Our vet bill is so far 310 euros and we hace raised 200 so far. We hope to raise a few more euros to cover the medical expenses for the new sick cat and to buy them some big bags of good quality food. We also need more volunteers to come forward to help us because the situation is very difficult.
