In 2010 I went to Haiti with All Hands to work on the earthquake response. What a great experience that was, and more importantly, what an impact we had. Huge! There's now a beautiful town (Leogane) where a giant pile of rubble used to be, in no small part to the many good people at hands.org and of course, my good self!
In 2014 I'll be teaming up with them again in the Philippines, to help rebuild after Typhoon Haiyan. By donating you'll be helping me, and helping hands.org to clean up, and rebuild.
I'm not going to bang on about how sad it all is, it's pretty bloody obvious and people are over that angle anyway. Suffice to say I'm lucky with my job timetable: it's very flexible so I can up and leave to do things like this whenever I want, but I understand that while many people would like to come and help they just don't have the time.
No need to stress though...you can still contribute! Donate-you'll be helping people who really need it. And, for those who read last time, I promise I'll write another blog on the whole experience ;)
So, enough mucking around...get your wallets out and click the button-and thanks very much in advance!
