twibv: Our First Album

Who are we?

We are twibv, good friends from the Netherlands who make music together. We call this music 'folk pop': original songs influenced by both pop and folk. We've been playing together for years and have built an original repertoire we're very proud of. Never heard us play before? There's a player with two songs on www.twibv.nl for you to listen to, and here's a video of a live performance last June.

People often ask us whether we have an album out yet, and now that is finally going to happen: at the end of October we'll be heading to Philip Masure's Folk Studio in Herentals, Belgium for a week, to record our songs there.

Of course the recordings will happen no matter what. We have already booked the studio and we've been working hard on perfecting our songs these last few months. But there's a big difference between 'recordings of our songs' and an actual album, professionally designed and everything, plus merchandise, a launch party and all kinds of other fun stuff. With your help, we're aiming for the latter!

What will the money go towards and what will you get in return?

We already have part of the required funding, but there's a lot more that goes into recording a full-length album than you might think. Additionally, we want to make sure that items such as badges, stickers, lyrics and other extras are available to people who are interested.

The money we raise with this campaign will go among other things towards studio time (including mixing and mastering with Philips expertise!), a professional photoshoot, renting a theater for a release party and producing merchandise such as tote bags, stickers and badges.

Everybody who contributes is automatically kept in the loop when we post updates about this project as it progresses. This way you'll know right away how we're doing in the studio, and you'll be the first to hear the exact release date as it's announced!

! Please note that all shipping costs included in the tiers are based on domestic shipping in the Netherlands. If you live outside the Netherlands and would still like a physical copy of the album, please get in touch with us before pledging to discuss shipping! Of course the €10 tier, containing the digital album, is free from shipping costs.

Of course we're incredibly grateful to everyone who makes a donation to our campaign, but we understand that not everyone might be in a position to support us financially. No worries, there's other ways to help!
