Campaign Story
We are proud to create the first turtle camp south of Mahahual, Quintana Roo in Puerto Ángel, which is the second longest turtle nesting beach in southern Quintana Roo along with Mosquitero beach in Sian Kaan, located north of Mahahual
Estamos orgullosos de crear el primer campamento de tortugas al sur de Mahahual, Quintana Roo en Puerto Ángel, que es la segunda playa de anidación de tortugas más larga del sur de Quintana Roo junto con la playa Mosquitero en Sian Kaan, ubicada al norte de Mahahual
HELP US BUILD THE FIRST SEA TURTLE CARE AND CONSERVATION CAMP IN SOUTH MAHAHUAL, COSTA MAYA.
AYÚDANOS A CONSTRUIR EL PRIMER CAMPAMENTO PARA CUIDADO Y CONSERVACIÓN DE LA TORTUGA MARINA EN EL SUR DE MAHAHUAL, COSTA MAYA.
We have already built the palapa camp, thanks to the help of volunteers, with materials from the region to have a minimal impact on the ecosystem. The walls are not up yet, but soon we will start to close them with wood and mosquito net. We also hope to incorporate solar energy, running water and an outdoor kitchen, so that the volunteers can live there. As part of this project is the construction of a small museum to share information about sea turtles and other species in the area. JOIN US!
Ya hemos construido la palapa del campamento, gracias a la ayuda de voluntarios, con materiales de la región para tener un impacto mínimo en el ecosistema. Las paredes aún no están levantadas, pero pronto comenzaremos a cerrarlas con madera y tela mosquitera. También esperamos incorporar energía solar, agua potable y una cocina sencilla, para que los voluntarios puedan vivir allí. Como parte de este proyecto es la construcción de un pequeño museo para compartir información sobre las tortugas marinas y otras especies del área. ¡SÚMATE!
