Tulong Para Kay Ramil: A Call for Donation for Ramil Cantonero’s IVIg Treatment

I am Jomar Empaynado. I humbly seek your assistance for my partner, Ramil Cantoneros, who is battling Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), which has now adversely progressed to the Diffuse Motor Axonal Polyneuropathy variant. GBS is a rare auto-immune disease, in which Ramil’s immune system attacks his nerves (peripheral nervous system), causing the weakening of his muscles and tissues and paralysis.

This disease moves from the feet upwards (ascending progression); if it remains untreated and reaches his respiratory system, his lungs could collapse critically. For Ramil to stand, walk, move, and recover as a functional individual again, he will need to undergo an IVIg treatment. For this and our increasing hospital bill, we need to raise an amount of PHP 800,000.00.

We respectfully ask for financial assistance because we have already reached the limit of Ramil’s HMO when the disease first manifested last May 20, and again, in its worse case, last July 6. Ramil and I have also exhausted each of our personal savings, and yet still are unable to afford the entire process of medication.

Buong kababaang-loob po akong humihingi ng tulong upang maipagamot ang partner kong si Ramil Cantoneros na kasalukuyang lumalaban sa sakit na Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) at ngayon ay nag-progress na sa Diffuse Motor Axonal Polyneuropathy variant. Isang di-pangkaraniwang autoimmune disease ang GBS na ang sariling immune system mismo ni Ramil ang umaatake sa kaniyang nerves (peripheral nervous system) na nagdudulot ng panghihina ng kaniyang mga tissue at muscle at ng pagkaparalisa. Ascending o pataas mula paa ang progression nito. Ayon sa neurologist ni Ramil, rare o di-pangkaraniwan din ang kaniyang GBS variant. Kung hindi maaagapan at umabot na sa respiratory system, posibleng bumigay ang kaniyang baga.

Kinakailangan po naming makalikom ng PHP 800,000.00 para matustusan ang kaniyang IVIg treatment at ang patuloy na tumataas naming hospital bill. Napakahalaga po ng treatment na ito upang muling makatayo, makalakad, makakilos, at maging functional na indibidwal si Ramil.

Magalang po kaming humihingi ng tulong pinansiyal sapagkat nasagad na ni Ramil ang inilalaang pondo ng kaniyang HMO para sa sakit na ito nang una itong umatake noong 20 Mayo 2022, na naulit lamang sa mas progressive na kondisyon nitong 6 Hulyo 2022. Nagalaw na rin namin ni Ramil ang lahat ng aming mga personal na ipon. Hindi na sapat ang anomang mayroon kami sa ngayon.
