Hello Im Prsni!I
I was born and diagnosed with congenital hip dysplasia (is a condition where the "ball and socket" joint of the hip does not properly form). At 3yrs of age, I went through surgery to correct it (they've put titanium in my groin and R femur)
I was a very active kid, growing up doing martial arts like taekwondo and wushu, thats when I slowly realize that something wasnt right because of the onset of constant pain and movement constriction. Until that time when i suddenly couldnt kick anymore during taekwondo class at the age of 12, the doctor told me its because of arthritis. He told me it would just get worse and worse as i get older and there's nothing really we can do about it but to slow down the process of bone degradation through strenthening exercises. So growing up with the pain, it kind of embedded in my subconscious to think that those pains were "normal".
Not until recently last year, when everything i do, even just sitting down or lying down (no exact movement would provoke it), would cause sudden pain. Almost everyday my legs would constantly twitch; to the point i couldnt walk anymore because I couldnt support my body due to severe pain; where one leg just suddenly feels a lot shorter than the other. All these severe cases only happen to me twice or 3x a year became a constant thing all of a sudden.
Couldn't bear with it any longer, i asked for an xray and showed it to different doctor friends and finally to my doctor who confirmed that im im due for hip replacement. He said he'll give me one year to prepare: mentally, emotionally and financially.
Im an acupuncturist and also, still a student (bachelor of Elem Education). I have no regular source of income (just baking and doing acupuncture treatments occasionally to get by) because I've dedicated my time to helping other people in our community and the environment by being a volunteer at a humanitarian foundation. There's no way i can raise 600,000php by myself and even by my family.
I'm humbly asking for your help, knocking at your compassionate heart's door to help me raise money for my operation. Thank you very much.
Wishing you well,
