R’s Top Surgery Funds

Update as of 25 Feb 2022:
Hi everyone, thank you so much for all your wonderful support. With all the love coming my way, I managed to hit the target of RM3K much sooner than anticipated so I had the total amount of funds needed for the surgery itself and could use some of my savings to purchase things for self-care/after-care for the surgery.

But here comes the plot twist, about a week or so ago, the hospital called and said that the costs of the surgery had gone up to RM21,000 as they are making some changes to the medical procedure (introducing General Anesthesia instead of Regional Anesthesia)

Some loved ones have already contributed what they can to the total amount so as it stands, here is the breakdown

New total needed: MYR 21,000
Total paid: MYR 1,000 (deposit)
Total needed to pay: MYR: 20,000
Amount in hand now: MYR 19,000
Remaining: MYR 1,000

I have edited the total to reflect the MYR 1,000 needed so the total needed will show MYR 4,000 as opposed to MYR 3,000 earlier.

The day has come. The surgery has been confirmed for 4th of March 2022!

I am starting this fundraising campaign in the hopes to make up some of the difference with my savings and the total amount needed for top surgery (MYR 17,000 in total).
