TIMEABU M.A BASIC SCHOOL

The Timeabu M.A. Basic School is located in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti region in Ghana, West Africa. The school has a student population of 300 from the KG level to the Junior High School and a staff strength of 22 including a Headteacher. The Timeabu Community is populated mainly by Cocoa farmers who cultivate cocoa as their occupation. The school started in September 2005 with two 2 teachers and 25 students. Since the school is located in a rural area it's been faced with some challenges in the area of infrastructure, textbooks, and lack of sporting equipment. This fundraising program is going to help put up the state-of-the-art modern two classroom block facility for the Kindergarten pupils who currently have no classrooms but sit under trees to study. The fund will also help build both a computer lab and a library for the Timeabu School and the Community as a whole and, also help renovate the existing Primary and Junior High School blocks respectively. The fundraising is going to be of great benefit to both the students and the community as well.
