The smile we deserve

It has always been a dream of ours (mine and my brothers) to smile without shame, to smile brightly and with confidence. We were never lucky enough to have perfect teeth, my brother smashed his when he was 5 and I had had bad dental work done because the cost of getting good quality medical care was too high. I'm the only one working in our family and due to unexpected circumstances, saving up was not possible. We had a terrible loss in our family due to suicide, therefore we had to spend whatever we could on therapy. Our teeth took a back-seat and slowly but surely, they have started to deteriorate. Sad as it may be, smiling after so much pain we went through is still a struggle because of the shame of the condition of our teeth. Superficial as it may sound to some, it is something that we have always dreamed about, having a big bright smile to say we have survived and we are still strong.
