Being a mom is never an easy task. Sometimes… you have to push your limits and sacrifice even your own life to be able to let your kids know how much they mean to you. And that is the reason why I am basically here..writing. And I humbly ask for your help.

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ…

(It was originally written in Filipino Language. Will try to briefly narrate it as much as I could. Please do spare me for any grammatical error. Thanks!)

Dec 2014 when she found out that she was pregnant with a baby girl. Everything seemed OK and she has a pretty normal check ups from time to time.

August 15, 2015 when she delivered her baby. It was her first born daughter. (That is one of the most cutest smile I have ever seen). Hi Baby Janna ^_^

Unfortunately, the baby was born with a disease. Her mother took her home after staying 2 days in the hospital after the delivery, thinking that the skin infection is normal and would eventually fade.

Everything was ordinary, though the mother apparently noticed the peeling off of her baby’s skin. There was no sign that the baby felt irritated even though her blisters seemed a little odd.

2 weeks later.. The baby suffered from an Acid Reflux- (I just based that on my own research, correct me if I’m wrong) - making it difficult for her to consume milk and vomits every time she was fed. It lasted for the whole day that made the family worry about her and decided to bring the baby to the hospital late in the evening. Unfortunately, three hospitals can barely describe the baby’s disease since there is no available Pediatrician present that night.

It was raining.

She was carrying her newborn baby.

Imagine her running around, exhausted, worried, and crying, just to get help…. (I CAN’T SEEM TO NARRATE MORE FROM THIS LINE BECAUSE IT HURT SO MUCH JUST TO THINK ABOUT IT. DAMN!!).

Finally, the baby was admitted at National Children’s Hospital (NCH).

Diagnosis: Incontinentia Pigmenti stage II; Rule out late onset sepsis.

The baby struggled from a lot of tests. Injections everywhere!

Then… the non-stop seizures.

Critical condition.

(I don’t know, but if I was her mother, I wouldn’t make it. Seeing my child in that situation would definitely make me wish that I was dead. So it must be really hard for her to look at her daughter… experiencing such pain. It’s heartbreaking!)

The baby was in a comma for 2 days. So the doctors asked the mother to bring their child to the Neuro Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

They started to lose hope.

But a miracle happened and the baby started showing good signs. Though she has to drink milk through this G-tube (Not sure if that was the proper term for that). They stayed for a month in the hospital and monitored the baby’s condition.

After a month of procedures.. They can now take the baby home. Look how cute her smile was. However, they still need to attend a monthly check up for monitoring purposes.

Now that she’s 1 year old. She has to start her Electroencephalogram (EEG) again. But the result is still unfortunate that affected her development.

She now needed a bunch of Cethaphils to avoid these blisters. If you can notice her knee.. It was the reason why she still can’t walk. The doctor advised a therapy, but can’t afford it so they just do it at home. (Hilot-hilot lang)

“All of her pictures are filtered. Hindi sa tinatago ko kung anong meron sya, pero minsan kasi nakakasawa na din sinasabi ng mga tao” (All of her pictures are filtered. Not that I am hiding her diease, but sometimes.. I just had enough with what people used to say.

The disease will last forever. As well as the treatment.

I humbly ask for your assistance. Please do help the baby so she can get the medical attention she needs. This campaign is made with pure intentions. I do not wish to have any financial connection with this campaign and you can directly send your help/donations to the baby’s mother. I am just an ordinary person. I don’t even know them personally, but I hope I can at least get your attention in this matter.

If you wish to contact her.. Kindly send a message to her Facebook page. Please DO NOT SEND ANYTHING ON MY PAYPAL. (It was just used for the registration for this campaign. Thank you!)
