After much thought and communication with friends and family all over the world who have expressed their condolences and love, we as a close family team at the The Little Farm have decided to embrace the overwhelming desire expressed by everyone to help. Firstly as we feel the love from all the comments we have decided to inform you of our losses.

Our beloved Dolly who was one of our first animals on the farm, with her goofy ways and unconditional love who tried to grow horns at least three times, was sadly put to sleep after the injuries she sustained. It was decided by our lovely vet, it was the only option to avoid her suffering unnecessarily.

Poppy, our beautiful brown larger goat was killed. She will be remembered for being the best mother to her offspring and her patient and calm nature.

Sadly Smokey has also passed, her calm ways and beautiful eyes will always be in our memories after being born on the farm, her short 6 months being part our family was far to short.

This bring us to Minty and her son Milo and Billy the white ‘unicorn’ goat, who are recovering quietly together with daily injections and painful wounds, and above all the shock of the attack. We are keeping a close eye on them and their daily care routine to bring them back to having faith in their surroundings and return with confidence they showed before.

This brings me to share with you our thoughts.

In times of need people feel the desire to help and find comfort in doing so. Words cannot describe the love and closeness we feel from all of you. Your connection to our animals and the support that you show makes you all a part of what we do here, and our farm family. We have discussed various ways for people to help and to grieve and have decided to set up a funded page where people can donate if they wish and or express their memories and photos. Any donations will go towards vet bills, re enforced fencing , medicine , the purchase of new animals and losses due to the closure of the farm at such a crucial time of year. At present its difficult to say when we will return to normal, if ever, and what is needed but this is by no means for us to have financial gain. It is a communal way for us to pull together and a much expressed request by many of our followers to find a way to help.
