Tess’ Fight for Cancer

We knock on your kindness and generosity for Marites Prado. Her friends know her as Marites, Tekla, Mama, Mader, Mama Tess or simply Tess. She is a single mother of 3. She has been working in Doha, Qatar since 2005. After several unfortunate events, her Resident Permit (RP) expired in 2015 and has not been renewed til date. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in August of 2019. She approached her former sponsor to appeal for the renewal of her RP on humanitarian grounds so she could get treatment from the government hospital but was told that the company has since been closed. She approached the Philippine Embassy for assistance but was told that they will not be able to assist on her case. Her sickness is currently on Stage 4 and she merely wishes to go home to spend her time to be with her children. To be their light until her candle burns no more.

She is merely surviving her daily living and medication through the blessings coming from friends and former colleagues whose lives were touched and blessed by Tess during the times when she still has plenty.

The funds raised will go primarily to support Tess' fight against the Cancer and secondly to settle any government penalty and the logistics required for her to travel back to her children.

Tess only wishes to be with her children at this time. As we are also aware that some may want to help but is also affected by the current situation. You can still help by praying for her and her children. Be her spiritual warrior. Be God's instrument of Hope and Love.
