We are Team Orion Racing, a group of six High-School Students who are representing India at the F1 in Schools World Finals.
The F1 in Schools challenge is the largest STEM competition in the world. It promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity in automotive engineering on a global platform. We will be competing against thousands of students from hundreds of countries, and need every edge we can get.
The event will be held in the Yas Marina Hotel, on the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, alongside the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019in November. The event is very financially demanding, and we will be incurring a substantial monetary cost in order to take part and compete. Registration itself cost us $4000. We must also fund our own transportation(visas, airfare, and freight) and accommodation costs, which are extremely high. On top of this, we will need to pay for manufacturing and testing of our car, and our pit booth, which will be very expensive as the competition will require the use of high end 3D printing and CNC manufacturing techniques in order to compete on the same page as our contenders.
We were able to emerge as the India National Champions by a large margin winning the Best Engineered, Best Scrutineering, and Fastest Car awards in the Indian National Finals, and with your support, we aim to accomplish the same feat on the International stage for India. This is a life-changing opportunity for us, and we hope you can help us realise it.
