Fighting Together With Our Courageous Boss Jamir! #TeamJamir

On January 20th, my wife and I took Jamir to his Pediatrician and what we thought just lack of Iron or vitamins which can be treated by just some supplements as he looks pale and weak, we found out that we were in for a devastating and more serious treat. His blood counts were so unexplainably low and his Pedia told us that Jamir needs to be seen by a Hematologist.

We took him home, spent the whole night crying, thinking of the unknown trying to grasp everything that's happening. Long story short, we were able to find a Hematologist-Oncologist and she immediately ordered to have his bone marrow aspirated after 3 bags of blood transfusion to help him get his counts back up. The results came back and we were advised that he has an Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-Cell) which up until now we still can't believe and still think of each day that this is all just a nightmare and it will all go back to normal when we wake up.

Jamir is such an innocent, energetic, outgoing child. He has a very positive outlook in life and have a lot dreams for himself. He's very thoughtful and shows his love to everyone without even saying it and he just loves food. It breaks our heart as his parents to see him suffer in pain, in boredom. It pains us to see his childhood being taken away from him but we know that we have to be strong and that we need to suck it all up. He cries a lot but recovers fast. He is one hell of a fighter, very resilient thus we do not have any right to feel weak and to complain as what we're going through is nothing compare to what he had gone through already and to what he will still be going in through in the coming days.

Me and my wife are doing everything we can to make all ends meet. We are working hard to be able to provide everything he needs but there are times we need to stay long in-patients (there was even a time he got admitted for almost 3 weeks) so work is compromised as well as our pay. We will be more than grateful to each donation and assistance we will be getting. With your help, we could focus more on Jamir and put all of our attention to him, to his treatment and recovery until we all beat this enemy and get him back into shape.

Jamir is currently receiving treatment in the Philippines in a children's hospital in Manila (Philippine Children's Medical Center). During this darkest time, we seek for everyones help and prayers that Jamir gets all the strength he needs, physically, mentally and spiritually and that he may overcome all the challenges he will be facing. Together with our friends and family, his doctors and the nurses, we will continue to be optimistic on this and continue to be hopeful that Jamir will get past through his treatment and fully recover.

Jamir is the greatest gift we ever receive from God and as his parents, we are so grateful and so lucky to have him as our son. We look forward to the day he could go back to school, we are looking forward to see him play outside again, we look forward to see him back on his feet and able to enjoy his childhood and eventually finish school and have his own family and reach his dreams. We look forward to see him become an inspiration to others, to impose a significance in this world and contribute to the society in making it better and lastly, we look forward to see him not backing down from any life's challenges no matter how tough the situation is.
