Donation Drive for Typhoon Victims in the Philippines

Less than two weeks after Super Typhoon Rolly (Typhoon Goni) brought destructive wind and rain to the Philippines, Typhoon Ulysses (Typhoon Vamco) left many residents trapped in floodwaters or taking refuge in evacuation centers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

We at Team Change are concerned for children and families who continue to bear the brunt of the consecutive relentless typhoons that have battered the Philippines over the recent weeks.

As the effects of Rolly and Ulysses becomes clear, we are closely monitoring the situation in all areas, worried most about the already vulnerable children who will become even more disadvantaged.

While Team Change is currently responding to typhoon affected communities using prepositioned supplies, these resources run the risk of being depleted if no additional resources are secured given the magnitude of these consecutive emergencies, and the anticipated additional weather disturbances before the year ends.

Who Are We Helping?

We are knocking to your kind heart if you could help us to raise fund for the victims of Typhoon in Cagayan and Bicol. These two regions are severely affected by 2 typhoons especially Cagayan Valley which is still currently submerged in 15 feet deep floods.

How Can You Help?

$1 is equivalent to Php50 in the Philippines. $1 can buy 1 kilogram of rice or 2 canned foods and noodles. You can help a family and give them food that can get them through the day. Aside from food, we will also allocate donations to purchase face masks, soap and other necessities that will protect the families from being infected by COVID-19.
