Tatay Romulo’s UNKNOWN Condition

For almost 3 years [to date], Tatay ROMULO PILAPIL SR., a resident of Brgy. Airport Purok 4, Ormoc City continues to suffer from an unknown medical condition. The abnormal growth of his head slowly deteriorates his eyesight also causing him to become slender and slender as his body continues to struggle with the yet unknown. On the 6th of July 2019, a simple 56th birthday celebration was held for Tatay Romulo in their small home. Despite the pain he has been going through for years, him and his warmly loving family remains strong and faithful that people would be willing to help as they reach out.

About his check-ups:

According to John Kevin, a close neighbor and contact of Tatay Romulo, his last check-up dates way back to January 2018. The doctor suggested taking him to Manila, where doctors have better equipment and facilities (hopefully enough to determine or at least reduce the effects of the condition).

I asked if they have an estimate of how much might be needed for Tatay Romulos healing and recovery. No numbers; given that they are clueless about the condition but the amount is very much expected to be huge. Tatay and his family live almost 21hrs away from Manila. Staying there is very costly given that it is the capital of the country and in comparison to the province they currently reside in. Getting better doctors and traveling is really too much for their own expenditure. A lot of Filipino families, like his, struggle with financial instability giving them no better choice but to endure the pain caused by such conditions. We are hoping for a better change for Tatay Romulo and his family.
