Help Tom and Mavroulis travel to the UK to find their forever homes!

We need your help to raise funds for Tom's and Mavroulis' travel costs in order to get to the UK where they will be fostered and in a very short amount of time will find their forever home!!

Tom and Mavroulis live at the Syros Stray Animal Shelter, at the Cycladic island Syros in Greece.

Tom is a dog with an amazing character and is always smiling!! He was abandoned and abused, full of wounds on his back! After surgery and a lot of care, he has become a happy dog and is a star at the shelter! He is playful, very affectionate and full of life! He is around 6 years old. His new family will be very lucky to have him!

Mavroulis is one of the sweetest dogs of the shelter!! He first appeared close to the shelter and followed two ladies in their walk and found food and water outside a store, until one day a car hit him. He broke his spine, but thankfully he became well. Since then, he has been in our shelter and we really do not understand how he has not yet been adopted! But! Now he has a chance to find the family he deserves in the UK! Mavroulis is about 8 years old.

Our shelter works with foster homes in the UK and we have succesfully placed in amazing homes several of our dogs. But, to get each dog ready for the trip (including medical examinations), and to pay for their travel is very expensive, costing up to 500€ for each dog! Any help is much appreciated and will make a difference for these doggies to have the life they deserve!

A few words about our shelter...

The Syros Shelter has been hosting stray dogs for 13 years now and currently has 26 dogs. We aim at not only saving the dogs' lives and finding them homes, but also to raise awareness about animal protection in the island. Most of our dogs are old since they are found abandoned in the countryside, hurt and hungry, and therefore have many medical expenses which are the biggest expense for our shelter. We want to help as many dogs as possible, and adoptions are very important for us. The more dogs we get adopted, the more new dogs we can save!
