Swimming for Alzheimer’s / Nadamos por el Alzheimer

We are taking to the open water to raise money for AFAV (Asociación Familiares Alzheimer Valencia) in a swim across the Port of Valencia.

Mother and daughter couples (Cristina and Daniela; Conchita and Ana) will take the plunge on 28th July. Cristina, Daniela and Conchita will swim 750m while Ana will take on the 2.5km race.

AFAV is the home that looked after our mother/grandmother in her final years. It is through donations like these that help the centre continue their good work in the community and enable those affected to enjoy a dignified and meaningful quality of life.

Please help us reach our target of €500.

El día 28 julio nos lanzaremos a las aguas del Puerto de Valencia para participar en la 26º Travesía a Nado a fin de recaudar dinero para AFAV (Asociación de Familiares del Alzheimer de Valencia).

El objetivo principal de la Asociación es el de ralentizar el deterioro que provoca el Alzheimer. Los profesionales de AFAV cuidaron muy bien de nuestra madre y abuela, le trataron con mucho cariño y respeto, y por ello les estaremos siempre muy agradecidas.

Esta iniciativa se solidariza tanto con los afectados como con los cuidadores y la recaudación pretende contribuir, mínimamente, a aligerar la carga económica que implica esta situación.
