Timataaba is a small orphanage located in Gbeogo-Tongo in the Upper East region of Ghana . The orphanage was started by a couple in the year 2010 with 22 orphans. The man of the House who himself is an orphan explained that he went through hardship as a child and did not want other orphaned children to go through same thus he took it upon himself to take care of these children even though he had little funds and just four rooms. His wife helps him with the running of the orphanage. The orphanage has a myriad of problems including bad infrastructure, lack of beds, mattresses, bedding etc. The rooms are in a bad state. We are calling on philanthropists, corporate institutions, religious bodies and individuals to come to the aid of this orphanage.
