Sala Monkey School continues to have an urgent plea for financial assistance as our nonprofit school is dependent on the generosity of our sponsors and friends.

Our school is committed to providing our students with the best possible education and support, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. However, due to severe budget constraints, we find ourselves facing significant challenges that hinder our ability to fulfill this mission.This term, we have embraced the powerful approach of Project Based-Learning (PBL) as an innovative way to inspire and engage our students.PBL fosters critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills,equipping our students with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world. However, the successful implementation of PBL requires additional resources, including materials, equipment, and technology support.

Without your assistance, we risk depriving our students of these essential opportunities to learn and grow. Furthermore, we have students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who face enormous daily obstacles that impede their ability to focus on learning. Basic needs such as nutritious meals, proper clothing, and school supplies remain unmet. It is our duty to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each student, so they can truly flourish without the burdens of hunger and inadequate resources. Your compassionate contribution can help us bridge this gap and give these students the support they desperately need.

Additionally, we are excited to launch a volunteer program in collaboration with the renowned Workaway program. Hosting international volunteers will bring valuable cultural exchange and diverse perspectives into our school community. To ensure their meaningful involvement, we require resources such as educational materials, sports equipment, and other supplies that can facilitate their engagement with our students.

On behalf of the entire school community, we want to express our sincerest gratitude for your incredible support and generosity towards our recent plea to help cover typhoon storm related damage to our classroom building and bathroom facility. The total for all repairs and replacement was a little over $2,000 ($700 raised online and $1,500 sent directly to us).

Welcome to the crowdfunding campaign for Sala Monkey, a nonprofit rural school in Cambodia. We are raising money for term 3 to support our education project based learning, classroom materials, and the much-needed grass for our football pitch.

Sala Monkey is dedicated to providing free education for underprivileged children in Kep, Cambodia. Our main aim is to offer an international level of education focused on modern teaching pedagogy. By doing so, we are creating opportunities for children to excel academically and not drop out of school due to financial constraints.

One of the core elements of our program is supporting English learning and development in the native Khmer language. We believe that by equipping our students with strong English language skills, we are opening doors to brighter futures and better employment opportunities.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity of our sponsors who have helped us sustain our program. However, to continue providing quality education and essential resources, we rely on additional funding from kind-hearted individuals like yourself.

Every contribution towards our fundraising campaign will make a significant impact on the education we offer at Sala Monkey. Your support will aid us in purchasing necessary classroom materials and creating a safe space for our students to engage in project-based learning.

Additionally, our football pitch is in dire need of grass to ensure our students have a suitable environment to play and develop essential skills through sports.
