Support Philippine dragon boat athletes in the 16th IDBF World Championship

Hi, We are the athletes of Elite Team - Premier Open Crew of the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation (PDBF), which will represent the Philippines in the 16th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championship (August 7–14, 2023, Pattaya–Rayong, Thailand).

On August 7–14, 2023, the PDBF will once again vie for the world title as the strongest dragon boat crew on the planet. We intend to send our elite crew to join the 16th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships to be held on the said dates in Rayong-Pattaya, Thailand. The PDBF Elite Team (Premier Open Crew) that will represent the Philippines consists of 24 male athletes (paddlers, steersmen, and coach) and 1 female athlete (drummer) that comes mostly from different military units, as well as the strongest civilian athletes.

Dragon Boat Paddling is a team sport wherein paddlers in a boat use power, speed, synchronization, and endurance to win racing events. The PDBF takes pride in having brought honor to the country by winning several coveted awards abroad for the past few years.

While we athletes are committed and dedicated to training every single day—more than once a day—to bring back the glory of the Philippines in the dragon boat racing sport, our federation, the PDBF, is currently financially challenged to take our crew to these international races. In this regard, we would like to humbly invite you to support us in aiding our financial needs in representing our country at the 16th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships.

1. 14th IDBF World Dragon Boat Championships – Pattaya, Thailand (August 2019)

• 4 Gold – Para-Dragons Division – WORLD RECORDS

• 2 Silver – Senior A Mixed 500m and Senior A Open 200m

• 4 Bronze – Senior A Mixed 200m & 500m, Senior A Open 200m & 500m

2. 12th IDBF World Dragon Boat Championships – Welland, Canada (August 2015)

• 1 Gold – Small Boat Premier Mixed 500 meters

• 1 Gold – Small Boat Premier Mixed 200 meters

• 1 Gold – Small Boat Senior A Mixed 500 meters

• 1 Gold – Small Boat Senior A Mixed 200 meters

WORLD CUP

1. 1st IDBF Dragon Boat World Cup - Fuzhou, China (June 2014)

• 1 Gold – Standard Boat Mixed 100 meters – WORLD RECORD with time of 0:23.445

• 1 Gold – Standard Boat Mixed 500 meters – WORLD RECORD with time of 2:03.693

• 1 Silver -- Standard Boat Mixed 200 meters

• 1 Bronze – 400m Relay, Small Boat Open & Women

SEA Games & Asian Beach Games

1. 24th SEA GAMES - Pattaya, Thailand (November 2007)

• 1 Silver – Men’s 500 meters

• 1 Silver – Men’s 1000 meters

• 1 Silver – Women’s 500 meters

• 1 Bronze – Women’s 1000 meters

ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

1. 12th ADBF Dragon Boat Championships – Adelaide, Australia (March 2016)

• 2 Silver – Small Boat Open 200 meters and Women 200 meters

• 5 Bronze – Small Boat Open 500 meters, Small Boat Mixed 200 meters and 500 meters, Standard Boat Mixed 200 meters and 500 meters
