Support Needed due to a job Loss

Our story began in 1999 when mom decided to take my brother and I and move to the States escaping from 14 years of emotional and physical abuse. We moved to Chicago where she was 32 years old at the time with two young children in a country where she didn’t speak its Language. During our time there, she worked three different jobs trying to keep afloat until our immigration status was denied and within 24 hrs had to leave our life there and everything in our apartment, pack up a bag of our essential clothes and make a 27 hr journey back to Syria, the country we escaped from 11 years earlier. With no home and very little money to our name, we survived a year before my brother left for Canada at 15 years old to finish high school. A few months later the civil war started leaving mom and me jobless and fearing for our lives.

I was lucky to be able to leave for Dubai in 2012 and mom was later forced to move to Lebanon after the building we used to live in was bombed during a strike on one of the Damascus suburbs. Scared of losing my mom, I tried to bring her to live with me but couldn’t due to immigration restrictions at the time. After trying for 3 years, I managed to get my mom a visit visa to come to see me in 2015 and she’s been living with me ever since. Unfortunately, she has not been to secure a job and I’ve been barely able to make ends meet living paycheck to paycheck supporting my brother while he’s in school and looking after mom and me and our living expenses.

Due to Corona Virus, I’ve lost my job and we are desperately in need of help to pay for food and rent. We are again on the verge of losing our lives for the 4th time. There is no social security in Dubai, I have no way of making money or getting any other support. We are in urgent need of financial assistance. Please help us or we will be homeless by the end of June. Thank you.
