Support Marilyn Beat Breast Cancer

Hi, I’m Marilyn O. Fortunato 60 years old a plain housewife. Last year, September 22, 2022, I’ve been diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma, right, stage IIIa (T3N1Mx). It is a type of breast cancer that has spread from the part of the breast where it began into surrounding breast tissue. My doctors immediately request for Major operation (Modified radical Mastectomy, right) October 6, 2022, the Mastectomy is successful after getting back from that procedure, follow up laboratories needs to be done such as CT-scan and Bone scan. Knowing that the cancer may also spread to other parts of the body through the blood or lymph system, From the results of the Bone scan I’ve been diagnosed with invasive Ductal Carcinoma, s/p right MRM were my 5th and 8th rib lesion is having activities of cancer. With all these diagnosis to me from last year, all my doctors prescribed chemotherapy x 6 cycles; referred to assess for bone metastasis and right now additional x 18 cycles (Trastuzumab and Zoledronic Acid). Every chemotherapy session is pricey and thus this campaign was created so that I can be assisted with my treatment expenses. I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy at Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC). In almost a year now, me and my family have tried to cover the medical costs from laboratories, medications, diagnostics, and admissions. We have lined up for government assistance and these have helped but there are still lots of costs that are not covered. We are grateful for the friends along the way who continuously extend their help as we would not be at this phase of the treatment without them. I’m right now facing the additional x 18 cycle of chemotherapy (Trastuzumab and Zoledronic Acid). And every time that I’m having this session it feels a lot of pain physically as well as emotionally and mentally thinking where I can get support for additional expenses because of my medication to consider myself cancer free sooner and still enjoy the rest of my life with my loved ones. I am a grandmother, mother and a wife, knocking at every generous heart, your financial help in any amount and prayers for my fast recovery will be highly appreciated.
