- I am Nana Abena Korkor Addo, founder and president of Psychosocial Africa. I also currently a teaching assistant assisting in lecturing Human Psychology and Reproductive health at the Biomedical Science Department at the University of Cape Coast. I also run a cocktail business and living largely with bipolar disorder.
Africa is an organization set to support mental health patients in universities and other educational institutions. I faced a lot of challenges in school due to ill management of my condition. A solution was found when a reliable support system was created for to nurture and develop her potential. This support system included a psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, psychopharmacists, nutritionists, fitness trainers and related stakeholders. I have started advocating and support groups. We want to raise funds to equip and maintain our goal. This will prevent students and other people from facing the same plight as I did. Thank you for supporting me.
