SUPPORT AN EXCEPTIONAL TEACHER INSPIRE A COMMUNITY

Victor Heredia is going after his dream to earn a Master's in ESL at ICESI University in Cali, Colombia.

Born 40 years ago in the small town of Sevilla – Valle, Colombia, and currently, Victor lives in Cali where he moved 30 years ago after an accident with electricity where he lost his right leg and both arms.

Thanks to his parents’ support and the help of the H.I.M Foundation lead by Karen Scheeringa, Victor was able to be successfully rehabilitated and has been able to live a fulfilling life.

God closed one door for him for a good reason, but after his accident, He has also opened many other doors for Victor.

He has been teaching English for the last 15 years and is an active and positive member of his school's Bilingual Project where he has played an important role promoting English among students and colleagues, and in the "Red de Maestros de Inglés de Cali."

Victor teaches at the Colombo Americano in the adult program and serves as a coach in the kids and teens program.

Victor also supervises and trains other teachers by guiding them through their professional development.

In his free time, Victor loves spending time with family. He also enjoys fishing, playing soccer, and watching a good movie with his mom, sisters, nephew, and niece.

Victor's foundation in life is his family and he would love to be able to continue with his master’s studies to keep growing professionally and also as a person, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
