Summer Workshop Opportunity

Hello,

My name is Juan-Cruz Luque and I'm a performer from Argentina currently collaborating with the ballet company of the Romanian National Opera in Iasi, Europe.

I recently got accepted into The Art Of Summer Workshop in Madrid, and I created this campaign because I need to collect funds in order to afford it. This intensive is a Forsythe themed workshop taught by prestigious professionals of the dance community. William Forsythe is one of the leading choreographers in neoclassical and contemporary ballet. Dancing his style is fundamental for professional dancers and for me it would mean a great improvement since this is my first time having the opportunity to study this type of technique.

The programme is quite expensive compared to the salary I get monthly and because my contract is only seasonal, I would not get paid during the summer "off-season" period. I managed to save up some money for myself, but since I'm an immigrant in Romania, I have had lots of legal expenses regarding the paperwork for my resident permit.

My studies in ballet started at a quite advanced age, yet I worked hard to have the possibility of starting a career in Europe. I'm trying to learn as much as possible so in the future I can come back to my hometown in the North of Argentina with knowledge to pass to future generations.
