The Sudan uprising started in December 2018 and is ongoing presently. The uprising against Al-Bashir by civilians and the military was initiated because of the long term rule by Al-Bashir and deteriorating economic situation in Sudan. The massacres, injuries, rapes and displacement tolls rise by the day. Insecurity and fear is rampant in the region. Spiraling conflict, food shortage and violence have endangered millions of lives. Men, women and children suffering at the hands of the powerful oppressors; stricken by disgusting acts such as rape, brutally beaten for standing up for their rights, deprived of basic needs like food and clean water, medical supplies, health assistance and much more.
Humanity has been affected by ego, pride and social injustice. We pride ourselves in posting about Sudan/Yemen/Syria and all affected countries suffering from discrimination and oppression, these are good acts, in a digital age, awareness is strength in numbers, social media platforms are our tools to transformation - But what more can we do?

Quoted poem by 1 of our members:
"Blood dripping from my head as I walk through a city of corpses.
Some on their last breath others preparing for their losses.
No tears left to cry and all I see is a blood bath.
People of my own and there’s nothing but wrath.
Hearing a number of women screaming as their honor is taken from them.
Men too, with no reason they condemned.
A peaceful protest turned into a mass murder.
The government says it was to bring ‘order’
Thinking Al-Bashir being ousted, my brother smiled.
Now amongst a bunch of bodies he was thrown into the Nile.
A muffled sob and an ache that I can’t describe.
Even after all these tries they didn’t leave alone my tribe.
Trails of blood following me
I call it brutality
But we stand in unity
Against this inhumanity
The oppressor was removed but I still face atrocity
This is my catastrophe
But my witness is above
He is Al Alim Al Mu’min the one we love
I am red white black and green
I might be unheard and unseen
With the blackout,
Unable to reach out
with no choice
I hope the world is screaming I hope there’s noise
I am Sudan, I am Sudan, I am Sudan!
I lost numbers in this short time span
My blood stained tears, has that brought attention?
Or do you need more bodies for a cremation?
Your silence is a demolition
But keep in mind that I am the Sudan Revolution."
