What is Stuttering Club?

The stuttering club. A club specialized in taking care of people who suffer from a problem of stuttering and difficulty in speaking. Founded in 2019 by Yasser Naidja. University student majoring in Petroleum Engineering. Former stutter. And active in the field of stuttering.

The club started its online activities in October 2019 with stutterers from all over the world and we called up doctors and did online training. Now we have divided our activities according to languages to facilitate interpersonal communication. The stuttering camp will be the first camp for this category in Algeria and the Maghreb.

The Story Behind The Stuttering Club

Yasser was an ordinary person, a student at school who loved music and design and loved mechanical engineering, and one of his dreams was to be a successful engineer, but he was different from other boys of his age, as he was suffering from speech disorders, these disorders or what is called stuttering The stuttering or stuttering greatly affected the child’s academic path. He was bullied by his classmates and even by some of his teachers. Yasser’s life almost turned into hell because of this problem. The lack of awareness about this problem and people’s views on him of the lack greatly affected his life.

Yasser was exposed to many hurtful situations, it is his exposure to ridicule at school. Due to the lack of interest in the problem at home, Yasser was discreet and did not express his feelings. Throughout his suffering, his only companion was the piano and the music he played.

Days passed, and Yasser was a high school student, and the real problem started here. He had a knot from the school, and he did not find enough support. I reached him that he was pretending to be mute in order not to be ridiculed, for example, on the train or elsewhere. He was writing the place on a piece of paper and presenting it to the ticket drawer.
And here came the role of the Stuttering Club, which is a non-profit organization established with the aim of helping stutterers around the world through meetings, training and sharing experiences. Yasser is now a successful mechanical engineer and is now supervising training at the Stuttering Club.

Many children around the world are like Yasser, and they do not find enough support to face this problem, especially in African countries. There is almost no awareness of this problem, and children and even adults suffer in silence. This is what the stuttering club in Africa will provide.

What is Stuttering Camp?

My event targets a community group affected by bullying. The group of stutterers that do not find adequate support, and even society does not have sufficient awareness of this problem and how to deal with it. Stuttering is a speech disorder that affects the output of letters, and as a stuttering club, we always try to find a solution to this problem.

During the Corona pandemic, this group has been affected a lot by staying at home. And the lack of communication with the outside world, which increased their condition.
So this year, by establishing a camp for stutterers, which will be a point of change in their lives, we decided to help them overcome this problem. This camp will be a 4-day training course in which all they need to overcome this problem will be done by specialists in the field of speech and oratory, and professional psychologists. And by holding courses in soft skills as well, such as team work and communication .. They will also apply what they learned in this session by preparing speeches and giving them to the public, and this will help them overcome the crisis.

What is Stuttering APP?

My project is an application and a website that provides everything that people with stuttering or other psychological conditions that affect speech need. The application will provide a special space for those who suffer from this problem and connect them with doctors and specialists in this field. The application will provide a special section for registration for stuttering and doctors, and doctors will have the option to present their services either through online meetings or by displaying the addresses of their clinics, and the appointment will be booked through the application and the doctors will be able to achieve additional income. The application will also have a special section for meetings between those who suffer from the problem, and there will be a presentation of different topics and the sharing of experiences. The application will also have articles about stuttering, recent developments and the latest news, and this section will provide income generation for those interested in the field of blogging.

The success of this project depends on the contributions that you will make to us. With the success of this application, we will have achieved a great humanitarian goal with the help of this group of society. This is the category that has been greatly affected by the pandemic and due to the lack of communication. And also a lack of awareness. By launching the application in several languages, we will have taken a big step forward in spreading awareness about this problem. Also, this application will help doctors who did not get job opportunities to make money by setting up online courses within the application.

Currently, we are seeking a seat for the stuttering club and resume work on the application. So far we are working on scheduling weekly meetings with registered stutterers. As for the progress of the application, we have finished the design and idea stage, but the barrier now is the money to buy space on the Internet and also to pay the programmers and advertising campaigns for the application

Currently some friends, who suffer from stuttering, are currently aware of my project. They liked the idea very much, which will be a turning point in their lives. It is also an important source of income for many people, whether doctors or bloggers

Those who suffer from the problem are always embarrassed to visit psychiatrists or speech therapists, and there are also those who live in remote places, and practicing with a doctor is difficult. Therefore, our application saves them the misery of travel and also complete privacy with doctors

As an online application, Mashroo3i depends on the number of people registered in the application. And also my application will have the features of recording and chatting, so it will be similar to some communication sites

This project depends on programming, so one of the most important things we need are programmers, designers, programming tools from computers and others, and also buying space and a domain via the Internet

In the event that the campaign succeeds on the site, the business will be launched as soon as the money is collected, and the application will be launched on almost all platforms three months after the success of the campaign. It will also be announced on social media or by some influencers in the field

The campaign goal is estimated in dollars, and is divided into four sections. The first section is the purchase of the domain and sufficient space, and we estimated it at a dollar. The second part is the payment to designers and programmers, and we estimated this in dollars. The third section is preparing the workplace, knowing that we are trying to rent a dedicated place to work with the team, and we estimated this at approximately a dollar. And the fourth section is advertising and we estimated this in dollars.

Currently we are working on this project with a team consisting of a person, from different backgrounds. There are people from the team who study medicine and psychology and are also distinguished in their fields and they will have a great impact when the application is launched. And two of us are studying accounting. And three legal persons. As for me, I am a mechanical engineer, graphic designer, and educated in the field of mental health and speech

We are trying to launch the campaign as soon as possible due to what is happening in the world and the pandemic. The application will have a significant impact at this particular time. If it is possible to launch the campaign at the beginning of August, about the fifth of August, it will be good for us.

Food and overnight expenses for the participants as well as printing expenses.they will have a healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. and also we will print T-shirts, badges, Roll up and bondroll ..

By Donation you will give a new life to the many children and young people who have been affected throughout their lives by bullying. It will give them and support them psychologically and emotionally. And this camp will be a point of change in their lives. It will also motivate them to work more on themselves in this area.

And we want to open our first headquarters in Algeria to help this group of people. That is why we need your help, this headquarters will have a place to help the stuttering, and it will have free doctors and training sessions, and it will also provide jobs for some volunteers.
