There are 130 leaders and staff of local NGOs, farmers organizations, credit unions, agriculture cooperatives will be trained and participated in activities included: Organize a national capacity building on communication for development and leadership, organize a national capacity building on agri-entrepreneurship value chain and include GAP, support the trained participants to extend training to their respective beneficiaries, project proposal writing, credit union and agriculture cooperative management, website development, organize reflection workshop for sharing knowledge and experiences and quarter meeting with FLIFLY’s partners and stakeholders. The proposed action absolutely contribute to our organizational strategies and priorities, especially strategic activities of FLIFLY that is building and organizing farmers’ organizations, agriculture cooperatives, building capacity on agriculture cooperatives management, provide advisory services for NGOs, farmer organizations, agriculture cooperatives, agri-entrepreneurs and farmers to contribution with SDG 2030 with Goal 1 No poverty that targets reduce poverty, social protection, economic resources and mobilization, Goal 2 Zero Hunger that targets healthy nutrition, strengthen small scale farmers, sustainable food production, and enhance productivity, Goal 4 Quality Education that targets education sustainable development, and barrier free education facilities, Goal 5 Gender Equality that targets non discrimination, participants equal opportunity and technology (ICT) for women, Goal 17 Partnership for the goals that targets encourage investments, knowledge sharing, capacity building, enhance policies coherence and cooperation of civil society actors. Additionally, FLIFLY engaged with local authorities, Ministry of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, Ministry of Rural Development, international and local NGOs, private sectors, farmers’ organizations, agriculture cooperatives, agri-entrepreneurs in order to raise the voice and claim the right of farmers.
1. Strategies for sustainability of the project.
Most of the target cooperatives and FOs and NGOs have previous experiences in their respective fields of work and are therefore believed to be able to perform their expected tasks. The project integrates the basic sustainability approaches such as capacity-building of the target cooperatives and the target groups. To the best possible extent, recurrent costs are shared with local organizations and government institutions.
2. Following are strategic measures of FLIFLY to strengthen sustainability of this project’s results:
- Improve knowledge and understanding amount partners of FLIFLY that is roles and function of FLIFLY to be good advisory services to NGOs, farmers’ organizations, credit unions, agriculture communities/cooperatives, agri-entrepreneurs and farmers.
- Improve engagement working the partnership with international NGOs and local NGOs, farmers organizations, credit unions, agriculture communities/cooperatives, public sector and private sector
- Advisory services fee and other financial contribution from partners to ensure at least the minimal operation of the organization.
