This is the story of a HUMAN with a very big heart that keeps love for all the animals.

It all started 13 years ago when I stumbled the most adorable puppy and I adopt it. Years went by and I've came across of more souls in need of some help. At the moment I try to do my best taking care of more then 130 souls.

Just like any other rescue shelter there is never enough resources to cover the needs of all the souls that keep coming. After an unfortunate incident I lost my house and for a while was pretty hard and then I started wanting a big house for my nine babies (at that time). I received -as a donation for dogs- an old property, left for years without care and at the time I arrived here only the walls of the house where standing up. I managed to do the minimum renovations of a few rooms and build outdoor shelters for the dogs. For the last 4 years I dedicated my life to help many animals (dogs, cats, horse, lamb and sometimes birds). The main problem is that all the work is made by a single person, myself, from feeding the animals, cleaning, to simple medical treatment like vaccines, injections, infusions. I managed to involve a team of veterinary to make periodically free sterilizations, not only for the animals of the shelter, but also for the animals of others who can't afford it or don't have more information about this. Over the years I gave for adoption more then 200 dogs and cats and made them happy for life (very few in our country and mostly to Germany).

Considering the large number of animals that keep coming, the shelter needs multiple spaces, quarantine rooms, reconditioning of dog paddles.

Another big problem right now is the source of energy that it's provided by a generator that runs by gasoline (a very expensive way - 1000 $/month) and breaks every to weeks or so. If we don't have energy, we don't have water and electricity. A more efficient way would be to invest in solar panels, but we are talking about 15.000 $ ...

Winter period is the heaviest. The shelter is located at the edge of a village, and being very little circulated the abundant snow leaves us completely isolated. There is no volunteer work, every thing needs to be paid and I just learned that this winter I will not receive wood for fire anymore.

From the very beginning there was a problem with house ownership, an open lawsuit that was lost and probably will have to move.

I thank you all for giving whatever you can to help me get through this difficult time.

Certainly, in the most difficult moments of life you realize who are true friends, or people who really appreciate you. Unfortunately, most friends leave you and send you a "like" but they don't really help or, at least, read...I have 3800 like this
