Stop the pain! Help to ensure free Palliative Care in Moldova

Every year, more and more people are diagnosed with cancer. According to the statistics, 25,000 persons in the Republic of Moldova have been estimated to be in need of palliative care, but at the same time just 2500 people received this treatment. Therefore, the palliative coverage rate in the Republic of Moldova is around 10%.

The Charity Foundation for Public Health "Hospice Angelus" is the main provider of Palliative Care in Moldova. We provide free high-quality medical and social services up to 12 months to patients – including children – with progressive, advanced, incurable, progressive and life-threatening diseases.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and other incurable diseases through medical, social, and psycho-emotional support offered by our medical teams that provide visits at the patients’ homes. All Palliative Care services are free of charge for our patients.

In 2017 Hospice Angelus opened Casa Angelus, the first Pediatric Care Center. The mission of Casa Angelus Center is to provide non-stop medical and social care for a period of at least 14 days to children with progressive and advanced incurable illnesses, with the possibility of reinstatement.

With 30,43 Euro (571,65 MDL) you can finance one day for a child in Casa Angelus.

With 21,28 Euro (399,75 MDL) you can finance one home visit for one of our patients.
