I know a stolen phone is not a big deal, especially if you have all your files backed up on an online drive like I did. At least not for everyone...
I live in Hungary, a country with a 27% VAT and people who have to work in 12 hour shifts so they can pay back their student loans from 10 years ago. My family is actually an avearage one - we barely, but we do have all we need, we have a car and a small flat, and even though I am 19 years old, I share a room with my sister.
I went to a small local festival last Satuday. Some guys started fighting next to me, and as I was trying to get farther, I fell on the ground, losing my phone from my pocket. I realised it only a minute later but it was already too late and now not me nor the police can find my device as it was turned off.
I know. I shouldn't have worn those shorts, I shouldn't have drank and I should have paid more attention.
But for the past 3 months, I have been saving money to buy this cheap Chinese phone so I wouldn't stand out holding my older and smaller one in my hand. I put all my birthday money into it as well, not to mention all the accessories I had to buy.
It was stolen after the first month of me using it and even though I will be having a summer job soon, all my savings are gone now. My heart aches nonstop, because this was the first thing in a while that I truly enjoyed.
Please help me out, even with half a dollar. I don't want anything more just to have that cheap phone again.
