Hi, my name is Mark Mendoza. My family and I were struck down by a devastating tragedy last October as our home was razed to the ground by a local fire.

As quickly how the fire took away our belongings and our home from us. I tried to stay strong for my family and my kid and was able to rebuilt back our hut little by little. I thought there’s no light to break up the dark at those times and my faith & beliefs was tested during those moments. But faith didn’t abandon me, and there was my family, friends and newly made friends that helped me and shown me the ray of light.

Now I’m a little bit back on my feet but with the pandemic still at its course, I am having a hard time going back to work. I just lost my job few days back. Most of my co-workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 & out of 26 of employees including management there were only 7 of us who tested negative and with that our Local Government Unit (LGU) decided to shut down our operations.

With so much uncertainty and concern, I don’t think I can rely on working a regular job in PH anymore to put food on our table.

I want to sincerely ask for help for me to get funded so that I can purchase a new laptop or even a refurbished one that I can use for me to start looking for any online work-from-home opportunity and have an internet line installed just to get us settled in. I know this is too much to ask but whatever you can share will truly be a blessing and be appreciated wholeheartedly.

I wanted to pursue this career pathway so that I can avoid travelling everyday and lower the risk of coming home and possibly bringing the virus to my kid and family as solely this has been my son'srequest for me just to stay at home to be safe.

I’ve had previous experiences working at home - https://www.onlinejobs.ph/jobseekers/info/519665

- but unfortunately, even my old laptop and PC which I was using for work way back was not safe from the fire. So I’m hoping and I plead for your good hearts to help me. I will also appreciate and accept refurbished or second hand old laptop even if it’s damage as I’m also a skilled computer tech and fixes stuffs and I will also appreciate anyone who can guide me or refer me over to any kind of work-at-home availability or donate some foods and clothing for my kid or even just a milk.

It truly pains me feeling this much incapable. Some of you are probably experiencing worse than me, and instead of offering you help, it is I who is asking you of it. I just feel like apologizing for reaching out, but my resources are limited and don't know where else I could ask for help to get by. Truth be told, I am already at my wits' end economically, and as pathetic as this sounds, I am still hoping that there'll be someone, anyone of you, to bless us with kindness. Anything will do, and will help right now to get me started working at home. Again, I'm sorry. Thank you once again to those who helped and will still help.

It’s coming my birthday this February and I wouldn’t wish for anything else other than the means to provide for my family and keep us safer. Every little bit of help will be appreciated!

The estimated cost:

Internet Line -$150 USD -Tech Install and activation Fee

Laptop - $300-$400 USD - mid-level specification (At least stable enough not to be called outdated within years to come)
